The attributes that decide a good match are the specific process, the materials a shop is tooled and experienced for, the tolerance class they can hold, and, for regulated work, their certifications. An AS9100 shop is effectively mandatory for aerospace parts, ISO 13485 for medical devices, and IATF 16949 for automotive production. We confirm those before we route your job.
5-axis carries the highest machine rate but can be the cheapest route for complex parts because it cuts contoured geometry in one setup and holds tight true position. For simple prismatic parts it is overkill. It shines on organic shapes, deep features and parts where a single fixture protects tolerance.

A shop that examines, possesses or transfers controlled goods or controlled technical data in Canada must be CGP-registered. If your part or its drawings are controlled goods, common in defence and some aerospace work, we route only to registered shops.
